Nefuen by Grupo Hijuelas’ new processing plant in Osorno aims to become a strategic partner for European hazelnut growers across central-southern and southern Chile. To achieve this, the company has incorporated new capabilities in cleaning, drying, sizing, cracking, automation, and sorting, using technology designed to deliver a more consistent product and facilitate its commercialization in international markets.

“We want growers to see Nefuen Trading as a partner,” Kremer says in the video, highlighting that one of the main objectives is to provide growers with greater confidence and peace of mind throughout the different post-harvest stages.

Through this approach, Nefuen seeks to connect production, processing, quality, and commercialization, offering growers of different scales an alternative to process their hazelnuts and prepare them according to competitive standards for a range of markets.
