Grupo Hijuelas promotes reading among employees’ children through Fundación Familias Primero’s “Leer es Poderoso” (“Reading is Powerful”) program

📢 At Grupo Hijuelas, we know that February can be a challenging month for childcare 👦👧, as children are on summer vacation ☀️. We also understand that, since the pandemic 🦠, our children’s education has become a major challenge for families 🏡, and there is always a concern that, for one reason or another, they may fall behind 📉.

📖✨ That is why, together with Fundación #FamiliasPrimero, we are carrying out the #LeerEsPoderoso (“Reading is Powerful”) program 📚 at our facilities, designed to strengthen the reading and writing skills ✍️ of elementary school children whose parents work at our companies.

📆 From February 3 to 14, the children are taking part in activities filled with learning 📚, fun 🎉, and exploration 🔍, in a safe and stimulating environment 🏡.

What are children experiencing through “Reading is Powerful”?

✅ Dynamic, in-person classes 🎭📖: where children learn in an engaging and effective way.

✅ “Reading to Learn” method 📚🧠: a successful Australian methodology delivered by trained tutors.

✅ High-quality educational materials 🎒📖✏️: backpacks with school supplies, books, whiteboards, and educational toys that reinforce learning.

✅ A motivating learning environment 🎲🎨📚: with games and activities that encourage a love of reading.

Children discover their parents’ work

🔬⚙️ In addition to learning, the children are also getting a closer look at what their parents do every day 🚜. They have visited laboratories 🧪, hardening areas 🌱, and Grupo Hijuelas facilities, gaining a greater appreciation 💙 for the effort and dedication their families bring to their work 💪.

This experience also helps them connect with the values we share as a company: honesty 🤝, passion ❤️, responsibility 🔄, excellence ⭐, and respect 🙌 — principles that are at the heart of our entire community.
