Grupo Hijuelas at the OZblu® Global Grower Conference 2025 in South Africa

On June 12 and 13, Gaspar Goycoolea, Juan Ignacio Goycoolea, Jorge Vidal (Peru), Christian Vélez (Mexico), and Remo Nasi (Africa) were invited by OZblu® to participate in its annual event in South Africa, the OZblu® Global Grower Conference 2025, representing Grupo Hijuelas at a global forum showcasing the latest advances in blueberry production worldwide.

The event brought together producers, researchers, and industry leaders from across the global blueberry sector under the theme “Everytime Blu.” It served as a platform for sharing experiences, technological innovations, and future projections for the industry across different markets.

Strengthening Ties with Fruit Growers and Breeding Programs in Peru

🌱 Ica has emerged as one of the region’s most important fruit-growing hubs. In this context, Nueva Vid took part in the 9th Redagrícola Conference, represented by Jorge Valenzuela and María José Castro, alongside Franco Sannazzaro, Fruit Crops Commercial Manager at Grupo Hijuelas.

The team also took the opportunity to visit the BLOOM FRESH test block in Ica, where they were welcomed by Commercial Manager Juan Guillermo Núñez and his technical team.

These instances of dialogue and collaboration with key stakeholders involved in the development of Peru’s agricultural and fruit sectors are essential.
